Biochar is a charcoal material generated from agricultural and forestry waste materials, which are pyrolized and “charged” with soluble nutrients, then mixed into the soil. This process greatly improves soil fertility over time, while also locking up the carbon in the starter material, pulling it out of the atmosphere and safely sequestering it for centuries. Join us to get your hands dirty, have some fun with fire, and learn the science behind the carbon cycle and how biochar plays a helpful role in slowing global warming!
