Sustainability Programs
Food Rescue Program
At CLiCK Inc., our mission is to rescue and redistribute excess food in order to create a more equitable food system. We work in partnership with the Windham Community Food Network to accept and process fresh produce, ensuring that no food goes to waste. By providing shelf-stable food to local feeding programs, we are able to empower our communities and make fresh and nutritious food accessible to all. Join us in our mission to create a more sustainable and equitable food system.
CLiCK Kitchens Composting Program
CLiCK Inc. is a community-based organization that is passionate about promoting sustainable practices in the food industry. With the support of the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut, we have implemented a food waste diversion program that provides our micro food business members with the tools and resources they need to reduce their environmental impact. We believe that through education and collaboration, we can create a more sustainable future for our planet.
In partnership with the Windham Community Food Network, our program is aimed at helping local events and organizations in Willimantic reduce their environmental impact while promoting a culture of sustainability and community. By offering composting services, we are providing a valuable resource for local farming and gardening initiatives, as well as promoting responsible waste management practices. Contact us to learn more about how you can get involved in our composting program today.
